Inter Faculty Table Tennis Tournament – 2022
General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University witnessed its 1st ever Inter Faculty Table Tennis Tournament on 05th and 06th of May 2022 with 82 talented players, representing 10 faculties performing their maximum for the championship. Teams from Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Management Social Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Allied Health Science, Faculty of Computing, Faculty of Built Environment and Spatial Science, Faculty of Technology and Faculty of Criminal Justice participated in the tournament.
The tournament began at 0900 hrs on 05th May 2022 and witnessed competitive matches where all the players displayed their maximum potential to win. The closing ceremony was graced by the Rector of Metropolitan Campus, Major General ALDM Gunasekara RSP VSV USP psc as the Chief Guest.
At the end, Faculty of Medicine secure themselves as the overall champions of the Inter Faculty Table Tennis Tournament 2022 and Faculty of Law became the overall runners-up of the tournament.
The following trophies and titles were awarded for the outstanding performance achieved by the players during the tournament.
- Best Player (Women) – J/L/O/C MBNM Herath of Faculty of Medicine
- Best Men (Men) – O/C KPMSAB Karunarathne of Faculty of Management Social Sciences and Humanities
