Sri Lanka Indoor Rowing Nationals Competition 2025

The National Indoor Rowing Competition took place on 31st January and 1st February 2025 at the Diyawanna Rowing Club premises. Rowers from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University participated with determination, competing in the 2000m individual events for men and women, as well as in other relay categories.

Our rowers delivered an outstanding performance at the National Indoor Rowing Meet 2025, achieving podium finishes across multiple events. In the 2000m Individual Men’s category, KDU secured a commendable 3rd place. The Under-23 Women’s Relay team showcased their strength and coordination, earning 2nd place. Furthermore, the Under-23 Men’s Relay and Under-23 Mixed Relay teams demonstrated exceptional teamwork, both securing 3rd place in their respective categories. The Open Mixed Relay team put forth a remarkable effort, finishing in 2nd place.

These accomplishments highlight the dedication, perseverance, and competitive spirit of our rowers, making this event a resounding success for KDU rowing.
