The Pan-Religious Activity in the KDU

FDSS-KDU, conducts a Poya Day “Dharma Sermon” programme at KDU. All Officer Cadets are encouraged to observe Pan Religious activity at KDU, therefore, religious event was organized by the Intake 38 Officer Cadets parallel with the Buddhist Religious activity.  Thereby, The Buddhist, Christian and Islamic Religious activities were held on 12 July 2022 simultaneously at the KDU.

Buddhist religious event was held at the KDU temple under the blessings of Rev. Kongamuwe Medankara Thero and all Buddhist Officer Cadets participated in “Dharma Sermon”.

Christian religious event was held at the FDSS Auditorium under the blessings of Rev.Father Sheron Fernando and 32 Christian Officer Cadets participated in the Mass.

The Islamic religious event was held at the prayer room-KDU with the participation of Rev. Siraaj Maulavi and 22 Islamic Officer Cadets participated for the prayers.

The FDSS has planned to continue these religious rites to build up the harmony among all the religions and form an intellectual bond among all Officer Cadets at KDU.
