The Rowing Crew of KDU Crowned with Silver and Bronze for the Third Consecutive Year
The Rowing Crew of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University has won 01 Silver medal and 03 Bronze medals at the 37th National Intermediate Rowing Championship which was held on 10, 11 and 12 March 2022 at the Diyawanna Rowing Centre (DRC).
The Championship is held in collaboration with the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka (ARASL). Large number of athletes representing schools, universities, sports clubs and the armed forces participated at the event.
The following athletes were able to bring honour to KDU:
Lady Officer Cadets DSM Fernando, BRH Ranaweera, RD Jothirathna, WGS Tharuka won the Silver medal in Women’s Intermediate Quadruple Scull (4X),
Day Scholars TS Yahampath and SD Perera won the Bronze medal in Women’s Intermediate Pair (2-).
Lady Officer Cadets DSM Fernando, HAAMMWCTK Mediwake, KLS Tanya, JS Jayarathna and Day Scholar SD Perera won the Bronze in Women’s Intermediate Four (4+)
Lady Officer Cadets HAAMMWCTK Mediwake, KLS Tanya, JS Jayarathna, KMSP Gunathilake were able to secure the Bronze medal in Women’s Intermediate Quadruple Scull (4X).
