Annual 8 Mile Run for Officer Cadets of Intake 41

The Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies (FDSS) held its annual 8-mile run for the Officer Cadets of Intake 41 on 10 August 2024. This year, the distance was increased to challenge the 185 participating cadets. The event was overseen by Major General CA Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration) and Lt Col KTDS Kalansooriya USP psc, Deputy Dean of FDSS. The run also involved the Deputy Dean of FDSS, the Squadron Commander, Troop Commanders of Intake 41, as well as officers and instructors of FDSS, highlighting the commitment to both individual endurance and team cohesion.
