Capt HAALSSA Arachchi

Capt Lahiru Arachchi is from the Sri Lanka Army Gajaba Regiment. He acquired his initial studies from Elakaka National Collage, Bentota. On 16 March 2015, he Joined Sri Lanka Army as an Officer Cadet to Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA). After completion of the basic military training at Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), he was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant on 18 December 2018 and posted to the Sri Lanka Army Gajaba Regiment, a prestigious regiment of Sri Lanka Army and subsequently posted to 6^th Gajaba Regiment.

During his tour of duty, he has hold following important appointments:

• ADC                            –           Maj Gen WRMM Rathnayake RWP RSP Usp ndu (Comd – SFHQ Cen)

In recognition of his valuable and unblemished service rendered to the Army/ Country, he has awarded with following medals.

• 75^th Anniversary of Independence Medal
• Sewabhimani Medal
• Service Medal

Bachelor of Science in Military Studies – Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka.

Capt Lahiru Arachchi has qualified in following local and overseas courses:

• Infantry Young Officers’ Course at CRTS/ ITC/ ATS in 2019.
• Special Infantry Operation Course in 2020.
• Basic Airborne Course at India in 2021.
