Major Nayomal Cabraal is from the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery. He received his primary and secondary education from S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia. He joined the Sri Lanka Army on 7 July 2009 under Intake 72 to the Sri Lanka Military Academy Diyatalawa (SLMA). After completion of the basic military training at SLMA, he was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant on 27 December 2011 and posted to the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery and subsequently posted to 4th Field Regiment of Artillery.
