The Inter-Faculty Games 2023 – Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony of the Annual Inter-Faculty Games of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was held at the KDU Basketball court on 31st March 2023. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, the Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence & Administration) and President of the Sports Council of KDU, Brigadier DCA Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC, Deans of all the faculties, Senior Lecturers, Officers, Officer Cadets and Day Scholars participated in the closing ceremony of the Annual Inter-Faculty Games. The Volleyball Tournament was the last Inter-Faculty Game and the final of the Volleyball Tournament was held at the closing ceremony of the Annual Inter-Faculty Games.

With outstanding performances from all ten faculties of KDU during the Annual Inter-Faculty Games, the following faculties have been crowned the champions, first and second runners up.

a.  Inter-Faculty Basketball Tournament from 13th March 2023 to 15th March 2023.

c.  Inter-Faculty Squash Tournament from 13th March 2023 to 15th March 2023.

d.  Inter-Faculty Chess Tournament from 16th March 2023 to 20th March 2023.

e.  Inter-Faculty Handball Tournament from 16th March 2023 to 20th March 2023.

j.  Inter-Faculty Volleyball Tournament from 27th March 2023 to 30th March 2023.

The awarding ceremony for the best Faculties for the year 2023 will be held after the Athletic Meets of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. The Athletics Meets is scheduled to be held on 27th April 2023 at Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium Diyagama.
