    Capt Lahiru Arachchi is from the Sri Lanka Army Gajaba Regiment. He acquired his initial studies from Elakaka National Collage, Bentota. On 16 March 2015, he Joined Sri Lanka Army as an Officer Cadet to Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA). After completion of the basic military training at Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), he was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant on 18 December 2018 and posted to the Sri Lanka Army Gajaba Regiment, a prestigious regiment of Sri Lanka Army and subsequently posted to 6th Gajaba Regiment.

    During his tour of duty, he has hold following important appointments:

    • Special Infantry Operation Course in 2020.
