    Captain Thilanka Ferdinando is from the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment of Sri Lanka Army. He acquired his Studies from Prince Of Wales College – Moratuwa. He joined the Sri Lanka Army on 23 December 2015 under Intake 85 to Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA). After the completion of the advanced military training at SLMA, He was commissioned with the rank of Second Lieutenant on 15 December 2018 and posted to the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and subsequently posted to 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment -Kegalle.

    During his tenure at the 8th Battalion, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Captain Thilanka Ferdinando held several key positions :
