    Lieutenant Vimukthi Sandanayake, an Executive Officer in the Sri Lanka Navy, began his journey at SriPalee College Horana. He joined the Sri Lanka Navy as an Officer Cadet on 16th September 2015, at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) in intake 33. At KDU, he completed his Basic Military Training and earned a Bachelor of Science in Management & Technical Science. He completed advanced military training at the Naval and Maritime Academy, Trincomalee, and was commissioned as a Sub-Lieutenant on 16th September 2019. He further honed his expertise by completing the Sub Lieutenant Technical Course 2022.

    He has held the following important appointments in his commitment to serve in the Sri Lanka Navy.
