Major Sameera Samarasinghe is member of the Gemunu Watch, SL Army. He is a proud product of Kingswood College, Kandy. He joined the Sri Lanka Army as an Officer Cadet on 14 July 2006 to the Intake 64 of Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA). Upon completion of basic military/academic training from SLMA and University of Sabaragamuwa (SUSL) he was Commissioned on 20 Dec 2008 and posted to the Gemunu Watch, one of the Infantry Outfits of Sri Lanka Army.
During his tour of duty, he has held many important Command, Staff and Instructional appointments in the Sri Lanka Army.:
